The Foundation conducts various conservation activities in collaboration with Parc Omega and other organizations that share the same mission. It implements protective and breeding measures for endangered animal and plant species.<\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Dedicated to the protection of wildlife and flora, Parc Omega is pleased to engage in an American program for endangered species in collaboration with the Species Survival Plan.<\/p>\n

ORNITHOLOGICAL PROJECT<\/b>
With the expertise of Martin Picard, biologist at D\u00e9veloppement Ornithologique Argenteuil, Parc Om\u00e9ga offers over 2,500 acres of land for several research projects.<\/p>\n

Component 1: Eastern bluebird and tree swallow project
Component 2: Red-headed woodpecker project
Component 3: Bird inventory project at Parc Om\u00e9ga
Component 4: Great blue heron (osprey) nesting box
Component 5: Prairie management project to encourage the production of field birds while maximizing hay production.<\/p>\n

REHABILITATION OF INJURED OR ORPHANED BIRDS OF PREY<\/b>
To achieve this mission, UQROP has two mandates: the first is to structure a Quebec network for the care of wild birds of prey found injured, sick or orphaned. UQROP’s second mandate is to bring birds of prey to the attention of the general public, through a travelling educational program and the Chouette \u00e0 voir! website, which is open to visitors. <\/p>\n

REHABILITATION OF ORPHANED ANIMALS<\/b>
For many years, Parc Omega has been a refuge for orphaned animals in collaboration with Quebec wildlife officers.
